Iceland moss (Cetraria icelandica) is a lichen known for its medicinal properties. It has a wide range of uses in folk and traditional medicine. <\/p>\n

Healing properties<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. Anti-inflammatory effect \u2013 relieves inflammation in the respiratory tract, stomach and intestines. 2. Antibacterial activity \u2013 helps fight pathogenic microorganisms. 3. Calming effect \u2013 has a calming effect on the mucous membranes. 4. Immunomodulatory effect \u2013 increases immunity. 5. Enveloping effect \u2013 protects the mucous membrane of the stomach and larynx from irritation. 6. Expectorant effect \u2013 facilitates the discharge of phlegm.<\/p>\n

  • Respiratory diseases: bronchitis, asthma, tuberculosis, cough;<\/li>\n
  • Gastrointestinal disorders: gastritis, ulcer, diarrhea, bloating;<\/li>\n

  • External wounds and skin inflammation;<\/li>\n
  • Recovery from illness or exhaustion;<\/li>\n
  • Problems with hoarseness or dry throat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    How to use:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    Icelandic moss for cough<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Recipe No. 1:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1 tbsp. l. ground dried Icelandic moss or 2 tbsp. l. whole per 500 ml of water. 1. Pour Icelandic moss with cold water.
    \n2. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
    \n3. Cook for 20-30 minutes until thickened.
    \n4. Remove from heat and leave to infuse for 15-20 minutes. How to take:
    \n\u2022 Drink warm, 100 ml 3-4 times a day 30 minutes before meals.
    \n\u2022 The course of treatment is 7-10 days or until the symptoms disappear.<\/p>\n

    Recipe No. 2:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Icelandic moss in the amount of 2 teaspoons pour 250 ml. milk.<\/li>\n
    • Boil the mixture for half an hour.<\/li>\n
    • The resulting infusion should be drunk before going to bed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      A decoction of Icelandic moss milk will perfectly reduce the intensity of cough caused by whooping cough.<\/p>\n

      Decoction for gastrointestinal diseases<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Pour 3 cups of boiling water over 6 tbsp. spoonfuls of Icelandic moss,<\/li>\n
      • Boil for 30 minutes, cool, filter.<\/li>\n
      • Drink sips throughout the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Cleaning wounds, wounds, acne and boils<\/strong>
        \n1 tbsp. l. Icelandic moss is poured with 250 ml of water and boiled for 10 minutes. The decoction is used to wash wounds and make lotions.
        \n2 large spoons are poured into a glass of water, boiled for 15 minutes, this solution is drunk, and the face is wiped with it.<\/p>\n
