Properties

Heather can be used as a medicine in the following cases:

• In case of skin diseases accompanied by the development of inflammatory process, violation of the integrity of the skin. As an antiseptic, it helps in the treatment of wounds, burns, and ulcers.
• For the treatment of colds and diseases of the oral cavity. With its anti-inflammatory properties, heather is indicated for stomatitis, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis.
• With its expectorant properties, the plant promotes sputum removal and can be used for bronchitis and pulmonary tuberculosis.
• Its diaphoretic properties allow it to be used in diseases accompanied by fever.
• To treat diseases of the urinary system, such as cystitis, kidney sand, as the plant has diuretic properties.
• Heather can be used as a sedative for nervous system disorders.
  In diseases of the stomach associated with increased acidity of the stomach.
  For the treatment of cholecystitis.

How to use:

Decoction: pour 20 g of flowers with a glass of boiling water. After an hour, the mixture is squeezed, filtered and drunk half a glass three times a day half an hour before meals. This decoction is especially effective for problems with the liver, gallbladder, and kidney stones.

Tea: for this, a teaspoon of the plant should be poured with hot water, infused for 10 minutes and strained. This tea helps with increased anxiety and insomnia.

Alcohol tincture: 10 g of heather should be poured with 70% alcohol (50 ml) and left for two weeks in a dark place. Strain the tincture and take 30-40 drops three times a day.

Contraindications

• Heather should not be used by people suffering from stomach diseases accompanied by low gastric juice secretion.
• Do not use the drug in case of individual intolerance.
