Medicinal properties:

Thanks to organic compounds, burdock preparations have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, tonic, diuretic, hemostatic, astringent, anthelmintic, antitumor effects, and stop indigestion. Basically, water and alcohol extracts from grass are used. The antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect of burdock herb is used in the treatment of gout, rheumatism, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver, for rinsing the mouth and pharynx in inflammatory diseases.

The use of a burdock for treatment is perfect in the case of:

• Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and gallbladder (including gastritis, ulcer, dyskinesia, pancreatitis, cholecystitis);
• Cardiovascular diseases (coronary spasms, coronary heart disease, thrombosis, hypertension);
• Diseases of the circulatory system (poor blood clotting, anemia);
• Liver diseases (cirrhosis, hepatitis, jaundice, cholelithiasis);
• Diseases of the central nervous system (sclerosis, neuralgia);
• Inflammatory processes and abscesses of various origins (conjunctivitis, boils, dermatitis, meningitis, hemorrhoids, abscesses);
• Diseases of the endocrine system (diabetes mellitus);
• To relieve various pain symptoms (the use of burdock relieves pain in fractures, bruises, dislocations);
• Urological diseases (cystitis, pyelonephritis);
• Internal bleeding (hemorrhoids, uterine and renal bleeding).

Cooking methods

Severe cirrhosis of the liver, stomach and intestinal organs. Burdock grass, pre-chopped in the amount of 3 tablespoons, is poured into 2 liters of water and boiled for 3 minutes. After cooling, you need to drink half a glass three times a day.

Tincture for menstrual pain and erosive formations on the cervix. A small amount of grass must be poured with 70% alcohol, placed in a dark place and left for 10 days. After the time has elapsed, it is filtered again. The finished tincture is used no more than 3 times a day for 10 drops.

Tea drink for diseases of the digestive tract and bladder. The burdock plant, in the amount of 2 teaspoons, is poured with 250 g of boiling water. Thus, it is infused for 5 minutes and then filtered. You should drink this tea no more than 3 cups a day.

Contraindications

Hypotension, as the plant lowers blood pressure;
Allergies, as tannins often cause allergic reactions, as well as when an individual intolerance reaction occurs;
It is not recommended for use in constipation.
