Healing properties

According to its medicinal properties, coltsfoot is a unique herb. The medicinal properties of the inflorescences and leaves (less often the roots) are used for treatment:

• respiratory organs (inflammatory processes with prolonged oppressive cough);
• digestive system (gastritis, colitis, inflammatory processes of the gastrointestinal tract);
• urinary system (inflammation of the kidneys and bladder);
• nervous and cardiovascular system – relieves overexcitation, promotes restful sleep.

Decoctions of coltsfoot normalize blood pressure, relieve headaches, and have a positive effect on the body in atherosclerosis. External use as ointments, powders, fresh juice for wounds, purulent abscesses, frostbite, burns, inflammation of the veins. It is used in cosmetology to strengthen and grow hair, cleanse the skin, and other hygienic procedures.

How to use:

Decoction: for 250 g of water 1 tbsp. l. tablespoon. dry grass, add to boiling water and immediately close the container with a lid and remove from the stove.
The broth is infused for 15-30 minutes and taken 2-3 times a day, 50-60 g in the same period of time 0.5 hours before meals.

Infusion: 4 teaspoons of crushed dry raw materials, pour 1 cup of boiling water, leave for 20-30 minutes and strain. Drink the infusion during the day, in several doses. The infusion is used for coughing, inflammation of the pharynx, hoarse voice, bronchial catarrh, bronchial asthma, pneumonia, etc.

Contraindications

• pregnancy and breastfeeding, since the components that make up the medicinal plant can have a negative effect on the development of the fetus and provoke the termination of pregnancy;
• menstrual irregularities;
• chronic liver disease;
• Hepatitis;
• chronic alcoholism;
• individual intolerance to the components that make up the plant.
