Useful properties

Horse chestnut preparations are taken orally in case of venous stasis, varicose veins, acute and chronic thrombophlebitis, trophic ulcers of the lower legs, arterial peripheral circulation disorders, inflammation of hemorrhoids without bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease. Topically, they are used in the form of lotions, compresses and creams for inflammation of joints, lymph nodes, venous insufficiency (pain and feeling of heaviness in the legs, night cramps in the calf muscles, itchy skin, swelling of the legs), feeling of heaviness in the legs, varicose veins. thrombophlebitis; injuries (clogged places, swelling of soft tissues, post-traumatic hematomas, sprained ligaments), infiltrates after injections.

Horse chestnut flowers are used externally in the form of rubs for diseases of the joints, spine, veins, in the treatment of thrombophlebitis, endarteritis, hemorrhoids and other diseases. Tincture of chestnut flowers is widely used for many diseases internally.

Methods of application

Tea. Prepare the drink in the same way as regular tea: 1 tsp. flowers are poured into 200 ml. boiling water, insist 15 minutes. Drink tea 2-3 times a day. It activates metabolic processes, strengthens the walls of blood vessels, has a tonic and soothing effect.

Decoction. It is perfect for normalizing the nervous system, improving the stability of blood vessels, slowing blood clotting, and strengthening the immune system. 1 per 300ml. of boiling water. Insist for 15-30 minutes. Drink a decoction of ½ cup a day, morning and evening.

Fresh juice. In vascular diseases, vegetative-vascular dystonia. Take 20-30 drops of fresh juice no more than twice a day. It is necessary to dilute the juice in one spoonful of boiled water in advance.

Tincture. With varicose veins.
