Water Pepper (Smartweed)

Smartweed has an analgesic effect and stimulates the contraction of the muscles of the uterus. Therefore, preparations based on this plant are used in complex therapy for postpartum uterine bleeding, heavy and prolonged menstruation. The infusion of this herb is useful for bleeding from capillaries and small vessels of the intestines and stomach, as well as for irregular hemorrhoidal bleeding, diarrhea and enterocolitis.

Cinnamon:

Method of application

Decoction: infuse 1 tablespoon of water pepper herb for 1 hour in a closed container in 1 cup of boiling water, strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day before meals.

Infusion: The infusion has a strong hemostatic, analgesic, astringent, sedative, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. It is used for excessively heavy menstruation, uterine, hemorrhoidal and gastrointestinal bleeding, stomach ulcers, and malaria. Outwardly, the decoction of the herb is used for various skin diseases (rashes, abscesses, “wild meat”), wounds, tumors, goiter, and as a painkiller.

Two tablespoons, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water and heat in boiling water (in a water bath) for 15 minutes, cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought to 200 ml with boiled water. Take 1/3 cup 3-4 times a day before meals as a hemostatic agent.

Contraindications

• Individual intolerance.
• Acute inflammatory processes of the urinary system: pyelonephritis, cystitis, glomerulonephritis.
• Do not add water pepper to dishes during pregnancy to avoid provoking uterine tone and the possibility of miscarriage.
• For hypertension, as blood clotting increases blood pressure.
• If you have a history of coronary heart disease, one of the properties of water pepper is to stimulate heart contractions.
