Description

Bearberry has been known since antiquity and therefore has many names: bear grape, curl, bearberry. The earliest mentions are found in the treatises of Greek and Roman physicians. They investigated the “bear berry” that was used to treat barbarian tribes. In the Middle Ages, bear ears were used both in Europe and in the Caucasus.

Bearberry leaves contain many valuable elements with medicinal properties:

  • Arbutin helps to cleanse the body by having a diuretic and antiseptic effect.
  • Organic acids. Ursula prevents inflammation and kills bacteria. Gall stops the development of cancerous formations and premature aging.
  • Flavonoids protect against the penetration of pathogenic bacteria, as well as microbes and viruses.
  • Tannins hold the intestines together, which helps prevent and treat diarrhea.
  • Hydroquinone saturates the blood with oxygen, improves metabolism. It is a safe bleaching agent for the skin.
  • In addition, the leaves are rich in vitamin C, quercetin, essential oils, and trace elements.

All of these components act not only independently, but also complement each other’s effects, helping the body to cope with the disease faster.
