Useful properties
Common chickweed is rightfully called the heart herb. Due to its high potassium content, it improves the function of the heart muscle and relieves pain. In addition, regular consumption of common chickweed is beneficial for the gastrointestinal tract, increases hemoglobin levels, strengthens the nervous system, and enhances the body’s protective function. Common chickweed helps with skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, various rashes, and insect bites. Compresses with the juice of this herb can be used for varicose veins, joint diseases and hemorrhoids.
Herbal infusion
1 tbsp. is poured with 1 cup of boiling water in a thermos, infused for 8 hours, and filtered. Take 1/3 cup 3 times a day before meals.
Contraindications
Common chickweed is contraindicated for pregnant women and children, as well as for individuals with hypotension and those prone to allergic reactions.
