Useful properties
Thyme herb is an essential component of herbal medicine regimens for ARVI, chronic inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract (tonsillitis, sinusitis, bronchitis), gastrointestinal pain and spasms, stress and insomnia, sciatica, rheumatism, cystitis, acne and other skin diseases.
Tea with thyme has a mild calming effect and is used for nervous excitement, insomnia, stress, and helps to lower blood pressure.
Externally, thyme infusion is used for general baths and compresses for skin rashes and neuralgic pain, for mouth and throat rinses for stomatitis and sore throat, and as inhalations when visiting a bathhouse to improve respiratory health.
Method of application
Water infusion: 1-2 teaspoons of chopped herbs with 250 ml of boiling water, leave for 15-20 minutes, strain. Drink 1 glass of infusion 1-2 times a day, regardless of food. The infusion is used symptomatically, that is. one-time or longer depending on the disease.
Infusion for external use: 2 l. of raw materials, brew 0.5 liters of boiling water. Insist for 30 minutes, strain. Use for compresses, general baths, rinsing the mouth and throat. For healing inhalations, the infusion is poured onto stones while visiting the bathhouse.
