Echinacea purpurea is a necessary component of herbal medicine regimens for ARVI, chronic bacterial infections of the nasopharynx and urinary tract, papillomavirus, herpes, non-healing wounds and ulcers, furunculosis, and a component of complex programs for the body’s recovery after illnesses.
Healing properties
Echinacea preparations are used for conditions associated with weakened immunity in the setting of acute or chronic diseases.
The main indications for taking echinacea are: acute respiratory viral infections, bronchitis, tonsillitis, sore throat, sinusitis, otitis media, frequent stomatitis, herpes, viral hepatitis, papillomavirus, furunculosis, fungal diseases of the skin and mucous membranes, urinary tract stress, arthritis.
Echinacea extracts inhibit the growth and reproduction of streptococcus, staphylococcus, and many other pathogenic bacteria and viruses.
Echinacea is prescribed for rehabilitation after injuries and illnesses, helps to recover from a course of antibiotics and chemotherapy, and helps to support the immune system when taking synthetic drugs.
The complex effect of echinacea polysaccharides, vitamins B and C, selenium, flavonoids helps to cleanse the body of toxins and free radicals, preventing the development of many diseases and premature aging.
Methods of application
Water infusion: Brew 1 tablespoon of chopped herb with 1 cup (200 ml) of boiling water. Insist for 30 minutes, strain. Take 1/3 cup of infusion 3 times a day regardless of food.
Alcohol tincture: Pour 50 g of herbs with 0.5 liters of 40% alcohol. Insist 2 weeks in a dark place, strain. Take 20-30 drops of tincture, diluting in 100 ml of water, 2-3 times a day 20-30 minutes before meals.
The course of treatment is 1 month, with a 2 week break and can be repeated. To support the immune system, it is recommended to take echinacea 2-3 courses per year, especially during periods of mass epidemics of viral infections.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, lactation, children under 3 years of age, autoimmune diseases, leukemia, leukemia, multiple sclerosis, tuberculosis, individual intolerance.
