Medicinal properties
The main therapeutic property of shepherd’s purse is the ability to stop internal bleeding, such as pulmonary, gastric, nasal, uterine, postpartum and menstrual bleeding. In addition, a decoction of shepherd’s purse has a good wound healing effect, so it is useful for cuts, bruises and various injuries.
It reduces fever and relieves inflammation, is a good diuretic, astringent and choleretic agent. Shepherd’s purse herb is used to treat bladder, kidneys, liver and stomach, gout and rheumatism.
It is useful in case of metabolic disorders for blood purification, neutralization and elimination of toxins accumulated in the body after prolonged drug treatment.
How to use:
Infusion: Pour 2 tbsp. l. of the herb with 500 ml. boiling water, insist in a water bath for 15 minutes, squeeze, strain. Take 2 tbsp. l. 4-5 times a day after meals.
Contraindications
In case of scanty menstruation and pregnancy. You should not use preparations based on this plant for a long time in the elderly, as well as in case of thrombophlebitis.
