Healing properties
The rhizomes have astringent properties and are used for acute and chronic diarrhea and other inflammatory processes in the intestines, as well as for gastric and intestinal bleeding. The extract of Persicaria bistorta has strong anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antiseptic effects for inflammatory diseases of the bladder. Additionally, these properties of Persicaria bistorta are used in the treatment of prostatitis.
Method of application
Decoction: 10 г. (1 tablespoon) of chopped raw materials is poured into 250 ml. of water at room temperature, cover and heat in a boiling water bath with frequent stirring for 30 minutes. Take 1 tablespoon 3 to 4 times a day before meals.
Extract: 30 g of crushed raw materials pour 300 ml. water, boil until the volume is reduced to half, strain. Take 20-30 drops 3 times a day after meals. The course of treatment is 15-20 days. After a two-week break, repeat the course of treatment.
