Healing properties
- Rosehip root has bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effects and excellent antimicrobial properties, and is an effective natural choleretic agent.
- Rose hips contain a lot of tannins, which is why they are used as an astringent. They are also used for uterine bleeding and cystitis.
- A decoction of rosehip root is considered to be a remedy that dissolves stones in the body or crushes them into individual grains of sand.
- Rosehip root has a positive effect on the circulatory system, activates bile secretion and gastric secretion. It is also successfully used in the treatment of intestinal disorders and dysentery.
- Decoctions based on rose hips improve metabolism and normalize metabolic processes in the body. Therefore, it is often prescribed by doctors to treat diseases caused by metabolic disorders (for example, gout). A decoction of rosehip roots will also help to cope with muscle pain, relieve cramps in the limbs. During the rehabilitation period after a stroke, especially in case of limb paralysis, baths with the addition of this root are recommended.
- In case of hepatitis, rosehip root decoction is recommended to be taken in parallel with the drugs prescribed in the complex treatment of this infectious disease – it helps to accelerate the binding and excretion of bacterial toxins and protects the liver from the harmful effects of antibiotics.
Method of application
Decoction: 40 gr. chop dry, well-washed rosehip roots, add a glass of water and put on medium heat. Boil for 20-30 minutes, leave to stand for 2 hours. Strain the infusion before use. The recommended dose is 1/3 cup 3 times a day.
Infusion: (fungal nail lesions): 3 tbsp. spoons of chopped roots pour 0.5 liters of vodka, leave for 3 weeks. Take 25 ml twice a day for an hour before meals. This remedy is also effective in metabolic disorders with salt deposition (gout, etc.).
Contraindications
Rosehip preparations are contraindicated in case of gastric and duodenal ulcers, heart diseases, thrombophlebitis, and gastritis.
