Healing properties
- Sweet clover is used for insomnia, hysteria, hypertension, headache, migraine, angina pectoris, cough, bronchitis, colds, flatulence, menopause, dropsy. It is used externally for corns, abscesses, otitis media, mastitis, rheumatism, neuralgia, toothache.
- The herb is included in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases: hypertension, atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease. His drugs lower blood pressure, thin the blood and reduce the risk of blood clots. It also activates blood circulation.
- Due to its expectorant and softening effect, sweet clover infusion is used in the treatment of dry cough in bronchitis and colds.
- Sweet clover is also used for flatulence, pain in the intestines and bladder, dropsy, and to enhance lactation.
- The pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties of sweet clover are well suited for external use as lotions and compresses for articular rheumatism, trigeminal neuralgia, mastitis, boils, purulent wounds. You can also rinse your mouth with the broth or apply a compress to your sore teeth.
How to use:
Decoction: pour boiling water over 10 g of herbs per 100 ml of water. Place in a container with brewed herbs in a water bath and keep on low heat for 20-30 minutes. Let cool and infuse, then strain and take 1 tablespoon. 3 about 30 minutes a day. for food.
The same decoction can be used as a douche 2 times a day for inflammation of the uterus and appendages, as well as for vaginal inflammation. This decoction can be used for lotions for furunculosis or boils, for wounds that do not heal well.
Water infusion: 2 tablespoon. sweet clover, pour 0.5 liters. of boiling water. Seal the jar tightly and wrap it in a terry towel. Let it sit for 30 minutes. It is better to use a thermos to prepare the infusion, but if you don’t have one, this method will also work.
Water infusion:
- rinse the mouth and throat;
- make lotions for abscesses;
- douche for problems with urogenital organs;
- make lotions for abscesses;
- apply compresses in case of extensive skin lesions.
Contraindications
Sweet clover and its preparations should not be used in case of:
- pregnancy (all trimesters are taken into account);
- a tendency to bleed and low blood clotting;
- instability of the central nervous system.
