Comfrey — root
Comfrey root (Symphytum officinale) is a dried botanical raw material used to prepare infusions and decoctions. The product is made from the dried root of the plant and possesses characteristic color, aroma, and taste.
Properties

Restorative: Comfrey is traditionally associated with supporting the natural processes of skin and tissue regeneration.

Soothing: in folk herbal medicine, the plant was used to care for areas of the skin and body after physical exertion.

Skincare: thanks to its allantoin content, comfrey root is used in herbal skincare products.

Emollient and astringent properties: these are attributed to the natural constituents of the root, particularly mucilaginous substances and tannins.
Method of application
Infusion: Pour 2 tsp. of crushed raw materials with 2 cups of boiling water (do not boil!), leave for 40-60 minutes, strain. Take 1/2 cup 3-4 times a day.
Infusion for external use: 3 tablespoons of crushed roots per 0.5 liters. water. Pour cold water over the roots and heat for 30 minutes. over low heat in a sealed container, without bringing to a boil, insist for 4 hours and strain.
Tincture of roots in vodka (1:5): 100 dry crushed roots per 0.5 liters. vodka, insist for 1 week, strain and take 30-40 drops, mixed with a little water, 5-6 times a day before meals.
Storage conditions:
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Keep the container tightly closed and protected from moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Contraindications
Not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or in cases of individual intolerance to the components.
