Eucalyptus leaves

Properties:

Eucalyptus is valued primarily for its high content of essential oil, which, in turn, has a number of healing properties, including the following:

• anti-inflammatory effect
• expectorant
• antiseptic
• anesthetic
• appetite improvement
• normalization of digestive gland secretion activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms
• sedative effect on the central nervous system

Indications for use

Eucalyptus leaves are used to treat respiratory diseases as:

• antimicrobial,
• expectorant,
• painkiller,
• with the help of preparations based on eucalyptus, both banal SARS and the most complex sore throats, tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia and tuberculosis are treated.
• Eucalyptus is successfully used to combat resistant pathogens such as staphylococci, streptococci, etc. It is also able to provide assistance in the case of dangerous conditions and is used for their prevention.
• The bactericidal, antiseptic and disinfectant effect of eucalyptus leaf-based preparations is used in the treatment of gynecological diseases (adnexitis, endometriosis), as well as phlegmon, ulcers, abscesses and inflammatory processes of the kidneys and urinary tract.
• In addition to these properties, medicinal products based on eucalyptus leaves have an immunomodulatory effect, they strengthen the body’s natural defenses and fight viruses (herpes, furunculosis, influenza, etc.).

How to use:

Infusion for rinsing the mouth and inhalation
Brew 2 tablespoons of dried eucalyptus leaves with 1 glass of boiling water. Boil for 2-3 minutes. Leave to infuse for 20 minutes. Use for mouthwash and inhalation by diluting 1 teaspoon of the infusion in a glass of water.

Decoction as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory agent
tablespoons of dry eucalyptus leaves pour 1 glass of boiling water. Leave to boil in a water bath for 30 minutes. Cool to room temperature, strain and squeeze. Bring the resulting solution to its original volume with boiled water.

Decoction for douching and inhalation
tablespoon of crushed dry eucalyptus leaves brew 200 ml of boiling water. Boil for 3-4 minutes on medium heat in an enameled dish. Remove from heat and leave to stand for 20 minutes. Strain, shake before use.

Use in gynecological diseases – for douching, chronic trophic ulcers of the lower leg – for daily dressings, in the treatment of infected wounds – for applications, as well as for inhalation in case of sore throats and catarrh of the upper respiratory tract.

individual intolerance, pregnancy.
