Description

Healing properties

Jacob’s ladder root is several times more effective than valerian in terms of sedative activity. It is especially valuable that the effect of this plant on the nervous system does not have the side effect characteristic of all synthetic tranquilizers.

Its main properties include:

  • Sedative;
  • expectorant;
  • antisclerotic;
  • normalizing pressure;
  • antiseptic and wound healing.

Preparations from Jacob’s ladder root reduce reflex excitability, alleviate stress, and stimulate the hormonal activity of the adrenal cortex. The unique ability of Jacob’s ladder to relieve spasms makes it effective for treating epilepsy.

Infusions and decoctions of Jacob’s ladder root effectively regulate lipid metabolism and prevent the deposition of harmful cholesterol in blood vessels. As a result, the risk of atherosclerosis, stroke, and heart attack is significantly reduced.

Jacob’s ladder root has high bactericidal activity, effectively targeting coccus infections. Together with cudweed herb, it accelerates the healing of stomach ulcers.

This plant is indispensable for relieving severe headaches and migraine attacks. For those suffering from insomnia and stress, taking a tincture of Jacob’s ladder root will provide long-awaited relief and improve productivity.

Method of application

Water infusion: Brew 1 tablespoon of chopped roots with 1 cup (200 ml) of boiling water, leave in a thermos for 30 minutes, strain. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day 15-20 minutes after meals. For children 2-8 years old, the dose for 1 dose is 1 teaspoon of infusion.

It is used as an expectorant and anti-inflammatory agent for bronchopulmonary diseases and stomach ulcers, as well as a calming herbal remedy for nervous disorders (neuroses, hysteria).

Alcohol tincture: Pour 50 grams of crushed roots with 0.5 liters of 40% alcohol, leave for 3-4 weeks, strain. Take 5-10 drops in 50-100 ml of water 3 times a day 15-20 minutes after meals. For children 2-8 years old, the dose for 1 reception is 1 drop for 1 year of life.

This recipe is used to improve brain function, eliminate tinnitus. It helps relieve irritability, anxiety and increase stress resistance. The course of taking the aqueous infusion is 1 month. Break for 1 month and can be repeated.

Contraindications

Jacob’s ladder is contraindicated during pregnancy. Jacob’s ladder root is low in toxicity but increases blood clotting, so it should not be taken in cases of thrombophlebitis.
