Healing properties
Oak bark has astringent, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and hemostatic properties.
Oak bark is one of the most effective remedies in the treatment of skin diseases, oral mucosa or larynx. Oak bark is excellent for burns and frostbite, diarrhea, and helps to cure female diseases.
It is widely used:
- For burns, inflammations of the skin, wounds, scratches. In this case, it is used as a lotion.
- For treatment of the oral cavity in case of stomatitis, sore throat, to remove bad breath, to relieve gum inflammation. Use as a rinse.
- For problems of the gastrointestinal tract, hemorrhoidal bleeding. It is taken orally.
- To relieve excessive sweating of the feet, take baths from a decoction of oak bark.
- To restore hair health and beauty
- In the treatment of certain female diseases (cervical erosion, vaginitis, colpitis).
Method of application
Infusion: Infusion of oak bark is effective in the treatment of diarrhea: 1 tbsp of bark per 1 cup of boiling water. Insist for one hour, strain. Drink 1 – 2 teaspoons throughout the day. Oak bark infusion is effective in the treatment of diarrhea.
Decoction of oak bark: effective for treating inflammation of the oral cavity. Pour 3 tbsp. with a glass of hot water. Steep in a water bath for 25 minutes. Strain, add boiled water to 300 ml of the broth. Store the broth in a cool place. It should be used within two days. To achieve results, rinse your mouth at least eight times a day.
