Useful properties
Knotgrass has many medicinal properties and has the following effects on the body:
- general strengthening;
- immunostimulating;
- hypotensive;
- diuretic;
- hemostatic;
- antitoxic;
- antimicrobial;
- wound healing.
The plant improves digestive system functioning, strengthens blood vessel walls, preventing cholesterol deposition and development of atherosclerosis, promotes dissolution of gallstones and urinary stones, increases muscle tone of the uterine layer, improves condition of mucous membranes and skin.
Method of application
Decoction. 1 tbsp. of the plant per 0.5 ml. of hot water, bring to a boil, cook for 10 minutes, cool, strain. Drink 4 times a day, 1/2 cup per appointment for dysentery, inflammatory diseases of the digestive system, liver, gallbladder.
Infusion. 1 tbsp per 200 ml of cold clean water, bring to a boil. Insist for 20 minutes. Take three times a day, one tablespoon per meal.
Contraindications
individual intolerance to the components that make up the plant;
children under 12 years of age;
presence of large stones (6 millimeters or more) in the organs of the urinary system;
pregnancy;
diseases associated with blood clotting disorders.
